“Building Relationships with the Media”

As a public health professional, you need to develop effective relationships with members of the media so that public health voices are heard.  “Building Relationships with the Media” gives you the opportunity to hear representatives from local media outlets discuss the elements needed for a story and confirm your role as a valuable resource.  Karen Goraleski, Vice President of Public Health and Global Health Advocacy for Research!America, will facilitate this interactive workshop.  Clare Collins, Manager of Media Relations at the University of Pittsburgh, will moderate  a panel comprised of representatives from several local media outlets. 

 

The workshop, available at no cost to conference participants, is sponsored by the Pennsylvania and Ohio Public Health Training Center.  Continuing education credits are available.
